A climbing log that works offline, with no account?
Sendtick is a bouldering send-log for iPhone (App Store id6785301383) built to work with no sign-up and no network. Gym basements have bad signal; a log that needs a connection is a log you stop using.
Do I have to create an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no login, no email address and no profile. You open the app and start logging. Nothing about you is registered anywhere.
Does it work in airplane mode?
Yes. Logging a climb, browsing your sessions and viewing your grade pyramid all run entirely on the device. The only part of the app that ever touches the network is the in-app purchase check for the optional Pro tier — and if you never buy Pro, the app has no reason to make a network request at all.
Where is my climbing data stored?
- On your iPhone, in the app's own on-device database.
- Every tick is written to disk immediately, so a force-quit or a dead battery mid-session does not cost you the climb you just logged.
- It is included in your encrypted iPhone backup the same way any other app's data is.
- Deleting the app deletes the data — there is no server copy to fall back on, and no server copy for anyone else to read either.
What data does Sendtick collect?
There are no analytics SDKs and no ad networks in the app. The one thing recorded off-device is the purchase itself: if you buy Pro, RevenueCat validates and restores that purchase against an anonymous identifier. It is not linked to your identity and is not used for advertising or tracking. Payment details are handled entirely by Apple — we never see them. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
Can I get my data out? Yes — Pro includes CSV export of your whole log, so your climbing history is portable rather than trapped in the app.
Is there cloud sync between devices?
Not today. Sendtick is a single-device, on-device log; iCloud sync is not part of the current version. This is the honest trade for the privacy and offline behaviour above — if cross-device sync is a requirement for you, this is the thing to know before installing.
What else does it do?
Two-tap logging, V-scale (V0–V17) and Fontainebleau (3–9A) grades with conversion, a grade pyramid and session history — all free and unlimited. See what's free and what costs money.
